COP 27 should create a financing mechanism for addressing loss and damage as well as securing finances for loss and damage
• There is need to come up with a clear definition of Climate Finance so as to aid the mobilization and assessment of the USD 100bn and the consequent USD 600bn beyond 2025
• In terms of setting a new collective quantified goal on climate finance, there is need to complete a delivery plan and a roadmap for increasing transparent, accessible and grant based finance, especially for adaptation.
This must also result in balanced adaptation and mitigation finance by 2025
