Robert is the Deputy Executive Director of EMLI Bwaise Facility and serves as the New York Main Representative to the UN ECOSOC. A scientist at Makerere University’s School of Forestry, Environmental and Geographical Sciences, he focuses on the science-policy interface, shaping policies at national, regional, and global levels. He is the GEF CSO Network Regional Focal Point for Eastern Africa and an active member of several international organizations, including UNEP’s Africa Adaptation Knowledge Network and UNCCD’s CSO Land Management Network. His work covers advocacy on global financial reform, climate justice, food rights, environmental governance, and social protection, and he has authored scholarly publications on climate change, environment, and natural resources.
